Osteoporosis New Zealand (ONZ) is excited to announce the launch of the new Osteoporosis New Zealand website, designed to support three key audiences:

1. Individuals and Families: Offering clear, accessible information about osteoporosis, including prevention, diagnosis, and treatment options.
2. Healthcare Professionals: Providing clinical guidelines, best practices, and resources to enhance care and empower patient education.
3. Policymakers: Delivering vital data and evidence-based recommendations to guide strategies for improving bone health nationwide.

We believe this website will become a valuable resource for patients and their families, helping them better understand and manage their bone health. Additionally, we hope that our clinical teams across the country will find the tools and information on the site helpful and will recommend it as a primary resource for their patients.

Looking to the future, we intend to expand the content on the website even further. Plans are already underway to include consumer fact sheets, the ONZ FLS Toolbox, and short videos that will bring various parts of the content to life. For example, these videos will feature an FLS Lead Clinician and a Fracture Liaison Coordinator describing what they do, the impact they make, and how rewarding these roles are. These additions will aim to inspire and inform, making the site even more engaging for all audiences.
