Osteoporosis New Zealand receives generous donation

The Meadow Fresh Milk 4 Good project raises $10,000 for the charity

Osteoporosis New Zealand is humbled to have recently received a generous donation of $10,000 from Meadow Fresh as part of its Milk 4 Good campaign.

In July, the Meadow Fresh team took their Milk 4 Good truck on its Auckland goodness tour, visiting shopping malls, night markets and sports grounds, collecting money for not-for-profit foundations.

On the tour, the public gave a gold coin donation to Osteoporosis New Zealand and, in return, they received a 1L bottle of Meadow Fresh milk goodness, as Meadow Fresh’s way of saying thanks.

ONZ are delighted to receive such a generous donation and would like to thank everyone that donated and Meadow Fresh for including us in this fantastic campaign. Milk is a great source of dietary calcium. Osteoporosis New Zealand (ONZ) recommends that we try to eat 2 -3 servings of Calcium rich foods per day.

Goodman Fielder’s Head of Dairy Katherine Jensen is thrilled the Milk 4 Good tour raised the amount for a charity that helps educate and care for New Zealanders with the life-threatening disability, that is a major cause of pain for so many.

“Everyone was so keen to be part of the tour and happy to be able to give to such a good cause and can change outcomes for those at risk,” she says.

The Milk 4 Good campaign raised a total of $41,784.11 for four charities; St Johns Northern Region, the Starship Foundation, the Blind Foundation Guide Dogs, and Osteoporosis New Zealand.
