Launch of Clinical Care Standard for Hip Fracture and 2016 Australian and New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry Report

Today, the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care launched a new standard which contains a set of quality statements around hip fracture care in hospitals. New Zealand’s Health Quality & Safety Commission has supported the development of this document, which has been led by clinicians across both Australia and New Zealand.

Osteoporosis NZ is delighted that these standards have been published.

Further, the Australian and New Zealand Hip Fracture Registry has published the 2016 ANZHFR Annual Report.

Having been supporters of the Registry since the beginning of the initiative in 2011, Osteoporosis NZ welcomes this first Annual Report which presents information on hip fracture care among the first four hospitals to participate in the Registry in NZ, in addition to 21 hospitals in Australia.

The Report can be downloaded from here.
